Rock On at the Hard Rock Pier

080814_mishmash-foodRecently, I was invited to enjoy happy hour “like a rock star” by my friends at the Hard Rock Cafe Baltimore at the recently opened Hard Rock Pier. Nestled by the front of Power Plant and the bridge that connects Pier 4 to Pier 6 at the Inner Harbor, the newest al fresco floating pier is a great backdrop for end-of-the-day festivities.

And it is not just the view; the price at Hard Rock Cafe is right too. Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., get yourself a frosty beer for $3, a draft beer for $4 and margaritas and hurricanes for $5, all while you enjoy free live music.

The location is ideal when visiting the Inner Harbor. A couple of ideas: Go to the Top of the World viewing at the World Trade Center just across the walkway. Paddle your calories away in the dragon boats docked close by. For a real splurge, plunge into the deeps as you adventure around the nearby National Aquarium.
